CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES :
1. Morigaon College Literacy Forum :
Morigaon College Literary Forum is
one of the most active voluntary organizations, which
encourages the teachers as well as the students to spread
literacy among the illiterate section of the society.
2. Morigaon College Cultural Society :
The college has a Cultural society, which
endeavours for the upliftment of cultural activities among
the students and in the neighbouring areas. It endeavours
for the preservation and extension of the cultural heritage
and traditions of the region.
3. Extension Education Cell :
There is an Extension Education Cell in
the College, which monitors the extension activities of the
teachers as well as the students. It acts as a catalyst in
planning, organizing and implementing different extension
activities such as social awareness programme, blood
donation programme, and student-support in different fields
like.
4. National Cadet Corp./ National Service
Scheme/ Scout and Guide :
The college has the above-mentioned
facilities and the students are encouraged to participate in
these voluntarily schemes/services in order to promote the
sense of national integration. However, those willing to
participate in these programmes will have to apply to the
concerned officer-in-charge in prescribed proforma.
5. Assam Science Society, Morigaon
College Unit :
The college has a unit of the Assam
Science Society, which endeavours to promote and advance the
cause of Science both in pure and applied branches. The
society disseminate scientific knowledge by holding
symposia, seminars and discussions regularly.
6. Alumni Association :
The Alumni Association of Morigaon
College, which came into being on in 2003, aims at
encouraging and extending help for the over all development
of the College.
7. College Teachers Unit :
There is a College Teacher’s Unit to
look after the needs of the teachers. The Unit also concerns
itself with different academic activities of the college.
8. College Employees’ Unit :
The Morigaon College Employees’ Unit
looks after the needs of the college employees.
9. College Students Union :
There is a Students’ Union in the
college, which looks after the students’ needs and acts as
a mediator between the students and the Principal in matters
related to the students community.
10. Boys and Girls’ Common Room :
There are well-furnished separate common
rooms for both girls and boys in the college with facilities
for recreation.
11. Games and Sports Facilities :
There are different facilities for games
and sports in the college. The college has a very good
stadium for outdoor games, Athletics and football and
volleyball. Moreover a basketball court is under
construction.
11. Gymnasium :
The college has a well equipped Gymnasium with facilities
for boths free-hand and machine exercise. It caters to the
physical health of the student community.
