Library :
The college has a central library named
after the founder principal of the college Late Guru Charan
Medhi. "Guru Charan Medhi Library" has a good
collection of books, both textbooks and reference books. The
Library building is centrally placed and easily accessible.
The Library has holdings of over 21,000
books and subscribed to many journals and newspapers. The
textbook section includes books on different subjects
included in the university curriculum. The reference section
contains books such as dictionaries, encyclopedias and year
books etc.
Library Service :
The library provides the following
services to optimize utilization of the reading materials
held in the library collection.
Reference Service.
Photocopying Service.
Internet Service.
The Library is kept open throughout the
year except on public holidays. Library timings are:
Monday to Saturday: 10AM - 4PM
Xerox facilities are available instantly
at nominal price to the students as well as teachers.
The membership of the Library is open to
the students, teachers and the non-teaching staff of the
college. Book borrowing facility is open to all the members
of the library.
Computerization
The Library is in the process of
digitalizing and automating its activities and service. The
Library has purchased software called "BOOK BANK"
for cataloguing and classifying the books, which would help
the students to find books in an easy manner. Users can
access the library holdings through the BOOK BANK package.
Departmental Library
Besides the central Library, each
department has its own departmental library with a good
collection of books, both textbooks and reference-books.
